Networking company, A10 Networks, has released its A10 Thunder Convergent Firewall, based on the ACOS Harmony platform.

A10 Networks Chief executive, Lee Chen, dubbed the product “the industry’s first solution that consolidates multiple converged security solutions in one package.”

“Thunder Convergent Firewall provides a highly effective, highly scalable all-inclusive converged secured application network platform to protect organisations’ assets. Thunder CFW is a testament to the power and versatility of the ACOS Harmony platform and we’ve worked with our customers in implementing some of the key security modules,” he added.

The product features a secure Web gateway with integrated explicit proxy, URL filtering and SSL Insight that enables security policy enforcement for client outbound HTTP/HTTPS traffic.

It also includes a Datacentre firewall (DCFW) with integrated network denial-of-service (DoS) protection and server load balancing (SLB). It provides Layer 4 stateful firewall and Layer 7 application-level gateway.

A10 said the Gi/SGi firewall with integrated network DoS and Carrier Grade NAT (CGN) protects the mobility infrastructure with advanced policy enforcement.

The release also features an an IPSec site-to-site VPN and an aGalaxy centralised management system support that provides device management, configuration, reporting and troubleshooting for Thunder CFW.
