The footprint of the PB8220 is a little smaller than average, with its dimensions of 308x95x238mm (WxHxD), and it weighs 3.1kg. A small 2W speaker is located in the top of the unit, for those business presentations that require audio.

The supplied remote is very easy to use and supports features such as Picture In Picture mode, a laser pointer, volume control, digital keystone correction (+/-15°) and the ability to use the remote as a mouse.
During testing, the PB8220 was reasonably quiet with a touted noise level of 34dB. During setup, the PB8220 easily connected to multiple devices and presented no problems accepting the different input signals.
