Microsoft said Tuesday that its Windows Small Business Server 2003 Release Candidate is now available to small businesses and technology providers for testing.
The software maker is shipping over 200,000 evaluation kits, as well as launching a worldwide partner training program to help support small businesses who use the product.
The software comes in a Standard and Premium version, Microsoft said, and is aimed at giving small businesses a simple, easy-to-use product providing e-mail, fax, database and security technologies.
With the two versions of the release candidate, the company also said that it is hoping to target a larger spectrum of small business customers.
Microsoft did not disclose when the software would become commercially available.
