SYDNEY, October 13, 2003 - From the shores of Kailua Bay to the picturesque finish on Alii Drive, Dell technology will deliver Ironman Triathlon results to an Internet audience beginning with the world championship that takes place every year in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

Event organisers will be outfitted with Dell handheld computers, workstations and servers to feed the information through Ironmanlive.com for the October 18 competition in Hawaii, and for more than 10 qualifying and world championship events in 2003 and 2004.

For the Hawaii championships, 1,600 triathletes from nearly 50 countries will compete in a 2.4-mile ocean swim, 112-mile bike ride and 26.2-mile run. Ironmanlive.com is the only outlet that broadcasts the world's most challenging endurance event in real time.

"Split times, streaming video, still photography are but a few of the features fans can expect to see on the Web site."

"Ironman is one of those special events that defines individual accomplishment and the power of human will," said Tim Mattox, vice president of client product marketing for Dell. "Our goal is to match the quality of the athletes' efforts with technology solutions that help the Ironman team bring the experience to a broader audience around the world, setting the standard for live event, field production for years to come."

The following technology will be deployed during the Ironman events:

* Dell Precision M60 mobile workstations for the Ironman video crew to edit video in real-time over Ironmanlive.com;

It’s easy to set up, it’s compact and quiet when printing and to top if off, the print quality is excellent. This is hands down the best printer I’ve used for printing labels.
