Dropbox has announced that its presentation tool Dropbox Showcase is available to all Dropbox Business Advanced and Enterprise Teams and has added a new functionality to make the creation, customisation and control of showcases much easier.
The wider rollout of Showcase also comes with updated admin controls. Admins can now manage team-wide settings with the ability to enable Showcase, allow external sharing, and set default download permissions for viewers of a team’s showcases. It will also be possible to track detailed usage of Showcase in the activity log.
Dropbox say the new functionality will make sharing work simpler and more effective.
Drag and drop uploads will allows users to quickly add files to their Showcase by dragging files from their computer. They’ll also be copied into a “Showcase Uploads” folder on Dropbox for safekeeping.
Showcase copying allows users to make duplicates of existing showcases. This is ideal for sending the same presentation to another audience or using a showcase as a template for new ones.
Recipient previews allow users to make sure their showcases look exactly the way they want them to before sharing. The new “Preview” buttons lets users see what their client or other recipients will see, with both desktop and mobile preview options.
