Acer signs on as Intel Extreme Masters global sponsor

Acer has announced that it has signed on as the official sponsor of the Intel Extreme Masters for the second consecutive year.

“Following last years success we are delighted to continue our partnership with IEM into 2018,” said Darren Simmons, Oceanic Managing Director of Acer.

“ESports is a burgeoning space to be a part of in the gaming world and Acer is proud to help fuel its growth through our support of IEM. Our Predator line of gaming notebooks, desktops and displays continue to be the hardware of choice for gamers around the world and we’re ecstatic to show what Acer brings to gaming.”

Held on the 4th, 5th and 6th of May at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney’s Olympic Park, this year’s IEM competition will witness 16 of the world’s best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams come together to fight matches to win a grand prize of $250,000.

At IEM Sydney this year, Acer will set up a Predator Lair where gaming enthusiasts will have the opportunity to get a first-hand experience of the full power behind the latest Predator range. Renowned for its innovative design and performance-focused capabilities, the Predator Orion 9000, Predator Helios 300, Predator X34 monitor and other hardware will be on display at the Predator Lair.

Additionally, there will be mini gaming challenges held on all three days of IEM with exciting Predator prizes to be won. An exclusive signing session with members of the CS:GO Grayhound Gaming team is also another highlight of the event.
