MSI launches PS42 in Australia

MSI has brought its latest Prestige Series notebook, the MSI PS42, to Australia.

The PS42 is a slim laptop that weighs 1.19kg and is 15.9mm in height. The new laptop features 10+ hours of battery life, a fingerprint sensor for security, Nvidia GeForce discrete graphics and up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor.

The PS42 also touts 16GB of DDR4 memory, and a 14-inch FHD, IPS-level display.

MSI say that, thanks to "performance in an unprecedented chassis, the MSI PS42 presents both simplicity and elegance."

As we said back when we saw the PS42 at this year's Computex in Taiwan: The idea here is to go for a similar sort of stylish luxury-grade combination of slimness and grunt that ASUS' Zenbooks are usually known for delivering. Where MSI's other product families offer great performance, they're sometimes a little off the mark when it comes to portability. The PS42 aims to redress that shortcoming.

The MSI PS42 is now available for $1799
