Blue introduces Yeti Nano USB Mic

Blue has announced the Yeti Nano, a USB microphone designed for broadcast-quality recording.

Yeti Nano features two proprietary condenser mic capsules that are specifically tuned to give user’s voice exceptional presence and detail, according to Blue.

“With Yeti Nano, content producers can easily record and stream with the signature studio-quality sound of Yeti, in a new compact design that fits in perfectly on any desktop,” said Tommy Edwards, Director of Product Management at Blue Microphones. “Whether you’re gaming, making a business call, or recording something new, you’ll be heard loud and clear with incredible sound quality, every time.”

Featuring two pickup-pattern controls directly on the mic, users can record a single source or multiple sources at once.

Cardioid mode records sources that are directly in front of the microphone for podcasts with a single host, game streaming, Skype calls, voice overs, vocal performances or instruments,

Omnidirectional mode picks up sound equally from every direction for conference calls with multiple participants or a multi person interview on a podcast.

The microphone comes with the Blue Sherpa companion app which features direct control options from the users desktop including mute and unmute the mic and headphones, fine-tune gain and level, switch polar patterns and change sample rates

The Yeti Nano is available now in Shadow Grey, Red Onyx, Cubano Gold and Vivid Blue from JB Hi-Fi for $159.95

As the Maserati or BMW of laptops, it would fit perfectly in the hands of a professional needing firepower under the hood, sophistication and class on the surface, and gaming prowess (sports mode if you will) in between.

I’d recommend a Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 and the new Windows 10 to anyone who needs to get serious work done (before you kick back on your couch with your favourite Netflix show.)
