CES 2019: Nura miniturize with new NuraLoop earbuds

Nura have officially unveiled their second product at this year's CES, the NuraLoop earbuds.

As with last year's Nuraphones, the NuraLoop earbuds utilise a self-learning engine that highly sensitive microphones and advanced signal processing techniques to measure and then optimise audio output to suit a user's ears.

Nura say the new earbuds will be able to be used both wirelessly and via a cable. They'll also tout a lightweight design, active noise-cancellation and a single "TouchDial" control scheme.  Nura say the earbuds boast "all day battery life" but it's hard to tell what the number that actually boils down to.

In our review of the Nuraphones, we came away impressed with the listening experience but slighted on the price.

"The Nuraphones are unique, and for people that’ll be enough. However, for a lot of others, I feel like they’ll struggle to justify their higher price-tag in the face of the increasingly-affordable noise-cancelling options out there. If you’re not an audiophile, $500 is a lot of money to spend on a pair of headphones - and while the Nuraphones sound good, I don’t think they sound quite that good."

That said, Nura have continued to improve the headphones since they launched. The company added a new ANC mode back in July 2019.

No word yet on pricing but expect more news on the NuraLoop earbuds to come later in the year.

As the Maserati or BMW of laptops, it would fit perfectly in the hands of a professional needing firepower under the hood, sophistication and class on the surface, and gaming prowess (sports mode if you will) in between.
