WYSE TECHNOLOGY appoints Rick Ferguson as Regional Director

<p>With continued regional growth, thin client market leader Wyse Technology today announced the appointment of Rick Ferguson as Oceania Regional Director.
Mr. Ferguson brings to Wyse Technology more than twenty years IT experience with segment leaders like Cisco Systems and Unisys, where he held senior roles in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Asia.</p>
<p>Following six years with Cisco Systems, where Mr. Ferguson was General Manager, Commercial Line of Business in Australia and New Zealand, he was most recently the Sales Director, CRM and Contact Centre Practice at Unisys Asia Pacific.</p>
<p>“Rick’s extensive commercial sales, business, and enterprise customer experience will further strengthen the relationships between Wyse Technology and our growing set of customers in this important region,” said David Yewell, Vice-President International Sales.</p>
<p>“Our market share in Australia and New Zealand is pressing 70 percent and growth of thin clients is more than 50 percent per year (IDC’s recent Australia Thin Client Market Report 2002-2007),” Mr. Yewell said.</p>
<p>“Rick joins Wyse Technology at a time of great opportunity to engage new sectors beyond our existing customer profile with the benefits of our server based computing software and Winterm devices,” he said.</p>
<p>Mr. Ferguson will oversee all sales and operations in the Oceania region including recently promoted Northern Region Sales Manager, Ward Nash, who now oversees NSW, Queensland and New Zealand, and Southern Region Sales Manager, Mark Veitch who manages the balance of the Australian States.</p>
<p>Wyse is the world leader in thin client technology and server-centric computing for the past five years. The company recently announced its server based computing software strategy that further strengthens its appeal to the thin client customers in Australia/New Zealand.</p>
