PBL Signs Wider Deal with Hostworks

<p>Publishing and Broadcasting Limited (ASX: PBL) has signed an agreement that continues its relationship with managed Internet hosting company Hostworks.</p>
<p>The preferred supplier agreement, which covers the period until 2007, will see Hostworks (ASX: HWG) continue to provide hosting services for the PBL group which includes ninemsn. It also potentially opens the door for other PBL businesses – which include Channel Nine, ACP and Crown – to take advantage of the services of Hostworks.</p>
<p>PBL Group IT Director Jack McElwee said the company had selected Hostworks after conducting a thorough review of requirements for its business. “Hostworks demonstrated the best overall fit for our needs,” he said.</p>
<p>Hostworks has provided managed Internet hosting services for ninemsn since 1999. ninemsn, Australia's leading website, is visited by about six million people each month. Formed in 1997, ninemsn is a 50:50 joint venture between the Microsoft Corporation and PBL.</p>
<p>Hostworks managing director Marty Gauvin said the company was pleased to continue working with PBL. “We are excited about continuing and broadening our relationship with PBL. We look forward to working with ninemsn and the other members of the PBL group.”</p>
