Panda antivirus offering

Aimed at businesses and professional users, Panda Antivirus Platinum 7.0 brings the package in line with the competition by including a quarantine area, a fully integrated firewall, daily automatic updates via the Internet, script blocking, and the ability to scan an array of e-mail clients. The package includes 24-hour e-mail and online support for a year.

This package has a clean presentation and straightforward options. The firewall facility is easy to use, with clear options right down to assigning Internet access rights for individual programs.

Antivirus Platinum scans old e-mail messages then sets itself up for the future. There’s a specific integrated module for e-mail scanning with Outlook, but Panda also works with Outlook Express, Lotus Notes, Pegasus, Netscape and IncrediMail, among others (see here for a screenshot).

Scans can be performed instantly or at scheduled times. You can send any suspect files to Panda and there’s an integrated suggestion box for future releases.

For users without virus protection, Panda’s latest offering is a good choice, providing daily updates, a firewall and easy configuration. However, there’s little here to make you upgrade from Norton or BitDefender.

I’d recommend a Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 and the new Windows 10 to anyone who needs to get serious work done (before you kick back on your couch with your favourite Netflix show.)

MSI GT75 TITAN

I need power and lots of it. As a Front End Web developer anything less just won’t cut it which is why the MSI GT75 is an outstanding laptop for me. It’s a sleek and futuristic looking, high quality, beast that has a touch of sci-fi flare about it.
