MoviePack

All actions are mouse controlled. Available media, transitions and effects are accessible through a browser window. Whenever the mouse is moved over an image, video clip or sound file, a pop-up preview appears. You can further manage media and other project resources by saving them to special albums.

Clips can be pre-edited or trimmed in the browser window, and then directly inserted into the video project timeline. For precise editing between two clips, a special dual display window is available.

MoviePack includes over 100 ready-made transitions. Users can also create their own, as well as add effects and other manipulations such as scaling or rotation.

An unlimited number of audio tracks can be integrated into video projects and can be heard during the real-time preview. More than 25 different audio effects and features are included, such as echo, hall, tone control and dynamic noise reduction.

All current graphic, video and audio formats can be imported or exported. All file formats are implemented as plug-ins, so their number can be expanded or they can be swapped when needed. MoviePack uses 32-bit colour depth and supports resolutions up to 4000 x 4000. It runs on all current versions of Windows.

MoviePack, at $1399, is more expensive than low-end products, but still compares favourably with Adobe Premiere, the current market leader.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

A smarter way to print for busy small business owners, combining speedy printing with scanning and copying, making it easier to produce high quality documents and images at a touch of a button.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.

Windows 10 / HP Spectre x360

Ultimately, I think the Windows 10 environment is excellent for me as it caters for so many different uses. The inclusion of the Xbox app is also great for when you need some downtime too!

Windows 10 / Lenovo Yoga 910

For me, the Xbox Play Anywhere is a great new feature as it allows you to play your current Xbox games with higher resolutions and better graphics without forking out extra cash for another copy. Although available titles are still scarce, but I’m sure it will grow in time.
