DiskSites Appoints NetOpt as their Australian Solutions Partner

 • 08 October, 2004 13:05

BRISBANE, Australia, October 8, 2004 - DiskSites, an innovator in delivering network infrastructure optimisation solutions to dispersed organisations, today announced that it has appointed Network Optimiser Solutions Ltd (NetOpt) to support their sales and support activities in Australia. The company has also signed agreements with key system integrators in New Zealand and Korea to extend its reach within Asia Pacific and has established a presence in Paris, France; London, England; Cologne, Germany; and Copenhagen Denmark to support sales activity in EMEA.

"As part of DiskSites' recently announced initial Series C funding, we made a commitment to fuel the rapid expansion of our sales and marketing efforts," stated Hudi Zack, CEO of DiskSites. "Establishing relationships with key integrators and resellers worldwide is an appropriate first step in this important process." Concurrently, DiskSites' North American operations have expanded by 50%, to support sales activity through its partners and resellers, as well as direct sales throughout the U.S. and Canada. "To support our sales, business development and support needs, we have chosen to establish a local presence in the areas that represent our greatest levels of activity," stated Offer Fabian, DiskSites Vice President of Marketing. "It is our goal to ensure that our customers have rapid response teams in proximity to their locations to ensure the fastest time-to-deployment of our solution."

Today's global companies must address the demands of remote, geographically distributed users and provide them with secure access to corporate resources. "The distributed environment of today's global enterprise requires the ability to manage technology remotely and intelligently. DiskSites' solution allows organisations to reduce IT costs, maintain control over critical data and provide global access in real-time to remote users. DiskSites provides a dynamic solution that centralises data, eliminates branch office servers (file, print, DNS and more), and provides remote users with direct access to secure data resources. The company’s solution offers dramatic cost reductions by providing this access over existing WANs at LAN-like speed. By eliminating the need to maintain and administer servers, storage and tape sub-systems in multiple remote branch offices, DiskSites dramatically lowers the total cost of ownership of data and resources within the extended enterprise.

With no performance compromise, branch office users are given direct access to centralised and secure corporate resources. Remote users operate just like local headquarters users, with all users accessing a single global file system, instead of disparate file systems distributed across the organization. DiskSites significantly improves collaboration efforts, eliminates the need for data replication between locations, and greatly enhances organisational security and disaster recovery capabilities. Its web-based tools enable IT staff to manage remote systems efficiently and cost-effectively while bringing data closer to the
end user. As importantly, the security provided to applications at corporate headquarters, where policies and protocols are more stringently adhered to, is now available to remote users.

“As enterprises worldwide are looking for additional ways to reduce IT costs, they are turning to us to find an answer to their requirements. Over the course of the past month alone, we have signed up systems integrators and resellers across three continents – and the demand is continuing to grow. Our conclusion is that we have the right solution for the extended enterprise at a time, and price point, that warrants their attention,” Fabian concluded.

About DiskSites:
