Altiris gears for growth in 2004

<p>Epands sales teams in Sydney and Melbourne</p>
<p>SYDNEY - October 1, 2003 – Altiris, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATRS), a leader in systems management solutions that reduce the total cost of owning information technology, today announced the appointment of two new sales account managers to address the rapid growth of Altiris customers and partners in the Asia Pacific market during 2003.</p>
<p>Joining Altiris in its Sydney office is Perry Papast, while Brian Zerafa, joins the Melbourne sales team.</p>
<p>In these newly created roles, both Perry and Brian will be responsible for developing and growing new markets by working with industry partners such as HP, Dell and Software Spectrum in their respective regions.</p>
<p>“By having additional resources dedicated to working with our major partners, we are looking to these new appointments to help us maintain our growth momentum into 2004,” said Geoff Masters, Managing Director, Altiris Asia Pacific.</p>
<p>“One of the reasons we have been successful and we are growing is that businesses continue to look for ways to help them lower the cost of managing their information technology. Altiris through its partners is dedicated to providing cost effective solutions to lower the total cost of ownership (TCO), by reducing deployment costs, and technical staff dispatch to desktop, remote and mobile users,” added Masters</p>
<p>Prior to joining Altiris, Perry worked for Object Consulting as an Account Manager. In this role he was responsible for the management and coordination of several corporate accounts for the Australian software development organization. Perry also has very
broad technical skills, having previously worked in Pre-sales and National Support roles for Computer Associates.</p>
<p>Brian Zerafa, completed his BSc (Hons) in Computer Science at Monash University in 1995 and has over nine years experience in the IT industry. He previously worked for Sterling Software in pre sales and consulting roles and ecommerce vendor Commerce One, as a B2 B Technologist. Brian has a breadth of experience covering Applications and Systems Management. Most recently, he has just completed a 2 year engagement providing Application Development and Project Management Services to the Victorian Government through consulting firm HawkBridge Pty Ltd.</p>
