Dimension Data Enhances Converged Communications Offering with Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2005

<p>Sydney, 9 March 2005 – Dimension Data, a specialist IT services and solutions company, has enhanced its converged communications solution offering, incorporating Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2005, an enterprise-grade instant messaging (IM) and presence awareness platform, and Microsoft’s upcoming integrated communications client, code-named “Istanbul,” into its solutions offerings, to ensure telephony, networking and productivity applications interact effectively.</p>

Multi-party video conferencing: Through partner relationships, the ability to take advantage of Live Communications Server 2005 to facilitate collaboration and communication for desk-top multi-party conferencing becomes a reality</p>
<p>* Integrated Directory Services: Expedite the provisioning and synchronisation of IM and voice clients while lowering the administrative burden of duplicate directories. Microsoft Active Directory and PBX directories can be seamlessly syncronised via integration with Microsoft Identity Integration Server 2003.</p>
