Sennheiser has partnered with DJs including Bob Sinclair to develop its new range of DJ headphones. The new headphones have been designed with one-ear monitoring in mind and feature elliptical cups for improved comfort.
Topping the new range is the HD8 DJ headphones. It, along with the HD7 DJ, have been designed for use during live sets. For the production of music, Sennheiser recommends its new HD6 Mix.
All three headphones have been designed with comfort in mind. The circumaural cups don an oval shape, not only for improved comfort, but also because a sealed headphone will better attenuate external noise.
The DJ range benefits from rotating 210 degree cups. This makes it possible for DJs to soak in the live atmosphere during gigs without running the risk of missing a beat. Also distinguishing the DJ range is the ability to plug in the connection cable to either cup. Two 3 metre cables are included: one coiled and another straight.
Sennheiser is backing its new range with a five year replacement warranty on parts. The global warranty will even stand if the headphones go out of production.
Sennheiser has not yet released details regarding the new range's Australian availability and pricing.
