Foxtel’s Play is now available on Sony’s new gaming console, the PlayStation 4, with the move dramatically expanding the variety of local content Australian PS4 fans will be able to access.
Foxtel released its Play application on the PlayStation 3 last month. The video on demand service, which works over a standard broadband connection, grants gamers access to more than 45 of Foxtel’s live channels.
Foxtel has bundled Play with Foxtel Go, which means gamers who own an Apple or Samsung smartphone/tablet will be able to watch their favourite Foxtel content on the go.
Other devices that feature the video-on-demand service include select Samsung smart TVs, Blu-ray players and home theatre devices; PCs and Macs, and select LG smart TVs.
Foxtel recently launched Presto, a subsidiary video-on-demand service that leverages Foxtel’s movie portfolio with support for select Apple iPads, Mac computers and PCs.
Pricing for Foxtel Play is calculated on a month-by-month basis. It is priced at $25 for one package, $35 for two, $45 for three and $50 for four packs. New Foxtel customers can trial the service for 14 days at no cost.
