PIXMA iP3000

The PIXMA iP3000 boasts a resolution of 4800 x 1200dpi (dots per inch) and uses technology that Canon refers to as FINE (full-photolithography inkjet nozzle engineering). In layperson's terms, this means that the PIXMA can produce tiny ink droplets--...

Micro trumps the mini? Creative Zen Micro

Previous Zen digital audio players from Creative have proved it isn't afraid to take on Apple at its own game. Now, with the Creative Zen Micro, it's going head-to-head with the iPod Mini.

PC games: Midnight Club II

Midnight Club II perpetuates the notion that young people like to take to the streets to illegally race each other in souped-up motor cars. Forget the fact that most of these young ’uns don’t even look like they could afford their next meal, let alon...

PC games: F1 Challenge '99-'02

Driving titles can, broadly speaking, be divided into two categories. You’ve got the instant-thrill games -- so easy that you don’t even have to take your foot (or finger) off the accelerator. Second, the painfully complicated titles aim to be as aut...

PC games: Hulk

Everyone loses their temper from time to time, but Dr Bruce Banner seems to have a shorter fuse than most. Getting hacked off causes a freakish transformation in him that makes Mr Hyde look like a fluffy bunny rabbit.

PC games: Zoombinis Island Odyssey

When I loaded up Zoombinis, I thought I was in for a sweet and cuddly kid’s game with nothing in it to challenge my developed, worldly mind. However, my afternoon didn’t turn out to be as comfortable as I had thought.

PC games: Chaser

Recently hitting the shelves, Chaser is an impressive-looking FPS (first-person shooter). I was lucky enough to get my hands on some preview code, and to say it blew my socks off would be something of an understatement. From the minute Chaser was up ...

PC Games: World Championship Snooker 2003

A new snooker world champion, Mark Williams, was recently crowned following a nail-bitting final in the 17-day world championship series. The 2002 champion, Peter Ebdon, was challenging for the title and I, for one, was surprised he didn’t win again,...

Xbox: ToeJam & Earl III: Mission to Earth

If you had a Sega MegaDrive in the early 1990s, chances are you'll have heard of ToeJam and Earl. The coolest aliens in the galaxy provided me with many hours of fun, laughs and funky tunes in my youth. So when I heard that they were going to make an...

PC Software: Toca Race Driver

On the strength of the past Toca titles you could be forgiven for thinking that Toca Race Driver would be pretty much the same game but with new cars and drivers. Well, that isn’t the case at all.

Rally Championship Xtreme

I don't wish to sound socially irresponsible, but driving fast is good fun, provided it is done in the safety of your own home on your PC.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.

Windows 10 / HP Spectre x360

Ultimately, I think the Windows 10 environment is excellent for me as it caters for so many different uses. The inclusion of the Xbox app is also great for when you need some downtime too!

Windows 10 / Lenovo Yoga 910

For me, the Xbox Play Anywhere is a great new feature as it allows you to play your current Xbox games with higher resolutions and better graphics without forking out extra cash for another copy. Although available titles are still scarce, but I’m sure it will grow in time.
