Currently looking for a Test Engineer for a 6 month contract to Verify & Validate ICT systems and components for a key account

The Role:

As the Test Engineer you will contribute toe the review and execution of test artifacts for the verification and validation of ICT systems for a key account. In this key role, you will ensure adherence to the specification requirements verification matrix and identify methods of validation for systems and components. The role will support the inspection, analysis, demonstration and testing at the system or component level.

Skills & Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Testing/QA professional preferably within the IT industry. You will be an effective communicator and team player able to identify issues and work with a variety of stakeholder groups.

  • High level of skill with the relevant technologies including Microsoft suites, Linux, Solaris, AIX, VMWare and other virtualization tools
  • Exposure in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support verification and validation.
  • Intermediate knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications.
  • Knowledge of wintel and *nix systems

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.
