Your role:

You will be working as part of a team to provide ongoing support, development and enhancement of the Department's Microsoft applications and to participate in key departmental projects.

Your skills, knowledge and experience:

You will have demonstrated skills in analysis, design, programming, testing and implementation of ICT Microsoft Classic ASP, ASP.NET and .NET Windows Forms application systems. You will also have knowledge and demonstrated experience in the use of SQL Server RDMS and associated development tools, in particular for the SQL Server 2012 environments.

More specifically you will have experience working with:

  • SQL Server 2000/2008/2012 Reporting Services
  • Visual Studio.NET 2003-2014 / .NET Framework 1.1-4.5 / C#
  • Visual SourceSafe 6 / Team Foundation Services
  • C# and VB.NET in development/maintenance of .net web applications (n-tier architecture).
  • Use of VbScript in development/maintenance of classic asp web applications.
  • Adapting systems for different browser versions using HTML5, JQuery and responsive web design techniques.

Relevant tertiary qualification and / or certifications will be highly regarded.

A current DCSI child related employment screening clearance is also required before work can be commenced.

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.
