Government Client

Our Client, NSW Government is seeking a Product Owner to join the team on a 12 month initial contract term.

This Product Manager role will own the API road map implementation ensuring the API program is easy to use and integrate.

The project will comprise API's that allow vetted partners to build custom applications to accept payments.

Key accountabilities


    • Own and create the product strategy and roadmap for the API and associated developer program.

    • Communicate product vision and priorities to internal and external stakeholders.

    • Managing feature iteration throughout the product lifecycle.

    • Management of client API integrations and pipeline.

    • Ownership of API documentation.

    • Assist the PM in defining the overall product strategy and roadmap.

    • Communicate effectively to build consensus and co-ordination of schedules with project managers, vendors and partners to deliver high-quality product features.

    • Deliver product and business requirement documents with prioritized features and work with delivery team on corresponding specifications.



    Key challenges


    • Building a professional and productive relationship with internal and external parties.

    • Being aware and managing the sensitivities of operating in a public service environment

    • Keeping abreast of current and emerging technology evolution, industry best practice, Government policy and statutory or regulatory requirements



    Essential requirements


    • 5+ years of software product development experience

    • Must have a proven track record of delivering high quality innovative products to the market

    • Experience with API implementations and integrations

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, include ability to write effective product specifications and training documentation

    • Strong technical and analytical skills

    • Bachelor's degree in a business or related field
