Data Centre / Hosting Lead - $800 per day

This role will sit within a Network Engineering Team focused on internal Network and Security for a large Australian Enterprise.
This role has been created to successfully architect, engineer, build, test and deploy DataCentre Solutions for Point of Presences Infrastructure.
This role role will see you:

  • Provide the technology team with SME knowledge of complex end-to-end systems and processes
  • Align systems with product and technology strategy
  • Solution design and traceability
  • Solution implementation
  • Manage integration and resolve issues related to inter-working between components.
  • Manage stakeholders
  • Knowledge management - Develop extensive knowledge of new and emerging systems, including leading industry (e.g. best of breed) and competitor solutions.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate expertise in:
  • General Technology, Architecture and Design Skills:
  • Datacentre Technologies:
    • Hosting architectures, tenancies and 'service isolation' and 'service stitching'
    • Platform experience IaaS / PaaS; Designing and building 'as a service' architecture
    • Understanding of a full digital stack including CDN, security, networking, databases
    • Cisco ACI and APIC;
    • Hypervisors and virtualisation including UCS and UCS Directo,
    • Integration with 3rd parties for example using pxgrid,
    • Storage, either on or off box
    • Automation capabilities and integration
  • High level of expertise in IP routing and related protocols
    • Understanding of common networking and routing protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, IPsec, SSL, HTTP, FTP, SSH, BGP with multiple VRs/VRFs, VLANs, MPLS, VPLS, etc). Working knowledge of NAT and DNS
