Our Client, NSW Government is seeking to appoint a .net C # Developer to join the existing team on an initial 4 month contract with the view to extend based on business requirements and performance.

The primary purpose of this position is to:

  • Provide technical support for the department's websites and Client Information websites.
  • Deliver product backlog items that are categorised as either new functionality or defects across the department's websites.
  • Work alongside other IT members and report to the Product Owner. HR matters are managed by the IT Manager.
  • Maintain updated technical documentation of any changes to the websites and content management system as required.

Key accountabilities/ tasks include:
  • Working within the departments IT and Business processes and using agreed toolsets;
  • Provide website support for departments Websites and customer Information
  • Deliver product backlog items for departments websites and customer Information
  • Maintain and update technical documentation
  • Develop quality code that is in alignment with the departments standards
  • To be an active member of the SCRUM team

Key challenges include:
  • Dealing with competing support issues that need to be resolved within agreed timeframes.
  • Sizing product back log items with some accuracy to deliver within agreed sprint cycle.
  • Maintain open, constructive, collaborative communications to realise the full potential of the SCRUM team.

Essential requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related degree
  • Experience working Agile methodology (Scrum & KanBan)
  • Excellent understanding of Kentico
  • Understanding and experience coding in .NET, C#
