Creative and proactive Network Engineer role with a strong focus on continuous improvement and optimizing company's Infrastructure


My client is a world leading European Cloud Solutions Provider who is looking for a Network Engineer to join their Australasian team in Melbourne. your primary job will be to administer the network equipment and make sure the infrastructure and services are kept available and secure. You will be in charge of identifying the root cause of any issues and be a key driver in supporting the growth of the infrastructure through capacity planning. You will be the first point of contact for any internal user requests and be responsible in driving change and contributing to any internal documentation. The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualities;

Mandatory skills required;

  • 4-5 years' Higher Education in Engineering
  • Cisco administration and security (IOS-XR, IOS, NX-OS)
  • QoS (DSCP/IP Precedence/CoS, MPLS-EXP)
  • CIDR/Subnetting, Loadbalancing, Anycast
  • Optical networks (DWDM, CWDM)
  • IPv6
  • Software-Defined Network
  • Scripting: Perl, Python, etc
  • Good knowledge of GNU/Linux/Unix environments
  • Ability to work in an international environment; a workng knowledge of English is essential
