This organisation has an ASAP role, requiring a Connections Manager for a large Australian Telco to join an existing program of work in Melbourne!


Large Australian Telco has an urgent Connections Manager vacancy to join their growing program of work.

This team is responsible for developing and managing the connections for its business customers to their expansive network, ensuring that they are right first time.

  • 06-month contract, with extension into well into 2018!

  • Great Melbourne CBD location!

The key areas of your responsibilities for this opportunity includes:
  • Proactively drives Right First Time and a positive customer experience for business customer
  • Works collaboratively with our internal teams and external stakeholders to do monthly and yearly planning for the migration of large customer portfolios, consisting of a wide range of technologies, geographic locations and potential site constraints
  • Manages a week-on-week migration plan, including checks for order integrity, end to end order management and order completio
  • Proactively manages their order portfolio on a daily basis, managing orders through the connection process, with a key focus throughout the process on enabling on-the-day/Right First Time connection succes
  • Proactively manages issues to ensure all stakeholders are informed and internal/external groups are driven to resolve issues within OLAs

Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have had experience as a Communications IT Manager working in an enterprise environment as well as experience in the following:
  • Project management skills: Ability to manage a customer portfolio of orders, tracking status and completion, reporting on outcomes, escalating issues and risks
  • Previous operational experience, preferably in managing customer connections - across order, activate and/or escalations
  • Experience working/communicating with stakeholders to influence actions and achieve business outcomes
  • Ability to do management reporting at the portfolio level, highlighting key accomplishments, issues and management of portfolio to plan
  • Professional experience operating with the MS Office Suite
  • Professional experience with systems such as: Service Portal and/or Maximo
  • Experience in one of Australia's largest telco's will be highly advantageous
