Business Analyst

Our Client, NSW Government is seeking to appoint an experienced Business Analyst to join the team on an initial 3 month contract basis with potential opportunities for a further 12 month extension based on business requirements.

The successful applicants will work in one of the Departments Transformation projects and must have extensive experience understanding the functions and role of business analysis.

The successful applicant must have experience in undertaking methodical investigation, analysis, review and documentation of all or part of a business in terms of business functions and processes, the information used and the data on which the information is based.

Experience as a Business Analyst with demonstrated knowledge in undertaking the functions to devise business analysis artefacts that align to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) and other industry standards.

Experience in investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information management, practices, procedures and organisation change.

Competencies aligned to the ICT Capability Framework (SFIA).

• Australian Citizenship or Permanent residency status essential
• 3 + years Business Analysis experience minimum
• Government experience highly regarded
• Strong ability to act as an interface between the business and technical resources
• Ability to extract and document detailed business requirements
• Experience in an Agile project environment essential
