This handset is a double-down by HMD on everything that worked in the 2017 model combined with a number of key improvements.

Camera

Unfortunately, when it comes to the camera side of things, the new Nokia 6 doesn’t fare quite as well. The results you get of the camera on this thing aren’t great. Still, most of the time, they’re good enough - and well in line of what you’d expect of a mid-ranger like this.

The camera on the Nokia 6 isn’t particularly impressive but if you’re after a mid-range shooter that’ll do the job, it’s hard to beat - even if it is only single-lens.

Though it does include ‘Bothie’ support, the Nokia 6 lacks any sort of portrait mode. Still, for the $399 price-tag, that’s a more forgivable sin that it might be in a more expensive mid-tier phone.

Landscape and daylights Images have plenty of color and range, courtesy of the HDR setting on the device.

However, up close and in low-light situations, it falls far short of what you’ll get out of other, admittedly more expensive, devices.

Even if the Nokia 6 does rely on ZIESS-branded optics, it feels like this partnership has yet to reach the zenith and ken embodied by and found in the similar pact that Huawei have made with Leica.
