Nokia announces N79 and N85

New N-Series handsets from Nokia

  • 3.5G HSDPA and Wi-Fi ensure both handsets are capable of high-speed mobile Internet access.

  • The Nokia N85 will come packaged with an 8GB microSD card.

  • Both units also feature GPS with the Nokia Maps 2.0 application pre-loaded.

  • Both handsets combine intelligent design with multimedia functionality

  • The Nokia N85 has similar specifications to the N79, but utilises a dual-slider form factor, first introduced on the popular N95.

  • Nokia has recently announced two new additions — the N79 and N85 — to its flagship N-Series range of mobile phones.
    The Nokia N79 is a candybar handset with HSDPA capabilities.

  • Both handsets offer a 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics. They are scheduled for release in late 2008.

  • The Nokia N79 includes a 4GB microSD card in the sales package.

  • The N79 and N85 offer a full range of multimedia features including integrated navigation, music with FM transmitter, Web browsing and 10 pre-loaded N-Gage games.
