Nintendo’s latest handheld console
Nintendo’s newest handheld console release is the DSi, an upgrade to the hugely successful DS Lite, which appeared on the market in 2006. The DSi is slightly thinner than its predecessor, with a 3.25in screen compared to the DS Lite’s 3in display.
The browser and SD slot allow for downloadable content to be accessed. The store uses a points system similar to that of the Nintendo Wii, with 200, 500 and 800 point cards available.
In addition to the larger screen, the DSi has an SD card slot (eschewing the now-outdated GBA slot), a digital camera with a resolution of 640x480pixels and an integrated Web browser.
