In pictures: SimAnimals

First came SimCity, then the Sims -- with a few detours in between. (Remember SimAnt?) The latest addition to the popular Sims franchise is SimAnimals.

  • Players will meet a range of wild animals including deer, squirrels, rabbits, hedgehogs and owls.

  • SimAnimals allows players to engage with the world of animals in their natural surroundings.

  • There are also foxes, raccoons, badgers, crows and bears present.

  • Other gameplay features include solving challenges and achieving goals such as discovering secrets, unlocking forest areas and uncovering objects and wild animals. SimAnimals on the Wii also features a cooperative play mode.

  • You control an on-screen animated hand that allows you to reach out and touch, pick up and move objects in the game, including the likes of foxes, bears, trees and flowers.

  • Players are challenged to engage, touch, move and try to control a wide range of animals.

  • It is available exclusively for Nintendo's Wii and DS.
