LG partners with Prada again to launch the LG Prada II fashion smartphone
LG recently announced the launch of its second Prada phone in Australia, the Prada II. Almost identical in design to the original, the new LG Prada II smartphone features a slide-out, ultra-thin QWERTY keyboard. The original LG Prada (KE850) lacked a physical or touch-screen QWERTY keyboard.
Like the Apple iPhone 3G, the LG Prada II smartphone features multitouch, allowing you to pinch the screen to zoom in when viewing a Web page. There is also haptic feedback and an accelerometer.
The LG Prada II is available now with a RRP of $999 through Virgin Mobile and Crazy Johns.
The LG Prada II is an HSDPA 7.2Mbps capable mobile phone and features Wi-Fi, but GPS is a notable omission. It has a 3in touch screen and a piano-black case with a chrome finish. The Prada II's camera has been upgraded from the original model: it features a 5-megapixel camera with a flash, a Schneider-Kreuznach lens and image stabilisation.
