The Navman MY GPS units will hit Australian shelves this month

  • The Navman MY55T has speed sign alerts for most roads, 3D landmarks, and the ability to voice tag captured locations.

  • The Navman MY500XT features digital music and video players and comes preloaded with Wcities travel books for all Australian cities. The MY500XT also has the Lonely Planet Travel Book of Australia preinstalled.

  • The Navman MY50T makes the jump to a 4.7in widescreen display but offers less battery life in the process (two hours battery life instead of three hours). It includes a lifetime subscription to the SUNA traffic channel.

  • The Navman MY55T has an almost identical hardware design to the MY50T, but has an FM transmitter and Bluetooth hands-free capabilities.

  • The Navman MY30 includes red light, speed and school zone safety alerts and also features lane guidance, 3D junction views and text-to-speech technology. The MY30 comes preloaded with a Canberra Wcities travel book. Other Wcities guides are optional extras.

  • The Navman MY50T can connect to your mobile phone via Bluetooth in order to take advantage of Google and TrueLocal.com.au search capabilities. The Bluetooth function doesn't include the ability to handle voice calls through the device.

  • Navman Australia last week [[artnid:308899|announced the launch]] of a new range of portable GPS navigation units, the MY series. Set to hit Australian shelves this month, Navman claims the new MY series GPS units provide "rich information" to consumers.

The Navman MY30 is the entry-level model in the MY series. It has a 3.5in display, a battery life of up to three hours and optional [[artnid:300105|SUNA traffic capabilities]].
